Another night of NBA basketball is in the books. We’re at that point in the season where finding gold on the waiver wire starts to get a little harder. That’s where we come in. We were able to dissect Monday’s slate and find some interesting pickups you could make from almost every game played during the night. Here are 12 players currently available in leagues that could help you both in the short term and long term. Enjoy!
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Malik BeasleyÂ
Tonight’s Game: 30 minutes, 21 points (8-of-19 FG), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and five triplesÂ
Beasley is on solid stretch right now, which means it might be better to grab him sooner than later. Just to note, Tim Hardaway Jr. (head) did return today, but both players were able to top the 30-minute mark just fine. There’s no telling how long the solid play will last for Beasley, so if you do decide to chance it with him, just know that you are taking a gamble. Beasley can provide fantasy managers with decent scoring, plenty of 3-pointers and very low turnovers.Â
Malcolm BrogdonÂ
Tonight’s Game: 19 minutes, seven points (3-of-5 FG, 1-of-1 FT), one rebound and one assist
This is more about getting ahead of the curve than it is about getting value early. Brogdon moved into the starting lineup today, which could be the start of something new. To be fair, Bilal Coulibaly (ankle) was out for this game, but it looks as if the Wizards want to find ways to utilize Brogdon for the time being. He just came back from injury, but he surprisingly played in the B2B. Once Brogdon gets cooking, he’ll be able to provide managers with a solid all-around game.Â
