Welcome to my 2025 July and NBA offseason dynasty rankings! With a new crop of rookies, free agency having dealt its hand, and a full season sample to reflect on, there are oodles of changes to my dynasty rankings. I’ve been hard at work the last month and a half curating these rankings, ensuring they balance and reflect value for teams of various dynasty states.
43 rookies made the cut into my Top-350, but that does undersell the strength and depth of this class. Obviously Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper are a notch above the rest of the rookies, but I am fairly high on the lottery range of this year’s class. Plenty of rookies made their way into my top-100 or loosely after, indicating my faith that there were be plenty of strong dynasty players that emerge. Some rookies may require more patience like Jeremiah Fears, but I feel confident on the output of this draft class in two-to-three years time.
Once again, tiers are a loose guideline. Players within a tier are somewhat close together in my eyes, with factors such as fantasy team state (contending or rebuilding), stat preference, upside, and aging playing a role in stratifying players. Don’t sweat over the actual ranking too much – the general range in which players fall is much more important than the specific ranking. In this version. I’ve also included rank changes to log trends.
It’s important to keep in mind with so many new players added to the dynasty pool, there will be a greater volume of players that dropped in rankings rather than rising. While that is partly reflective of the individual’s failure to increase their dynasty stock, it is also just a function of intriguing rookies with a wide band of variance entering into the dynasty rankings.
I’ve noted the 46 players that have fallen from the Top-350 below, with their previous rank in parentheses. I’ve also included the four non-rookies that were previously not in my Top-350. Note that for formatting reasons, the new players and rookies entering the Top-350 have their ranks as “0” in the full rankings.

Mark C’s FREE Dynasty Category Rankings – July 2025
Rank Player Rank Change Age Team Notes 1 Victor Wembanyama 0 21.6 San Antonio When Wembanyama develops any further scoring consistency, he will provide so much excess value that the number one spot won't do him justice. 2 Nikola Jokic 0 30.4 Denver Jokic has added three-point volume to his game out of necessity. He is truly a 9-category stud still in his prime. 3 Shai Gilgeous-Alexander 0 27.0 Oklahoma City If Shai continues to expand his three-point game, then he has a chance at bumping over Jokic. 4 Luka Doncic 0 26.4 LA Lakers Doncic had a rocky season with the myriad nagging injuries, but none of those should be any concern long-term. He continues to excel at racking up counting stats. 5 Cade Cunningham 5 23.8 Detroit Cunningham is the clear leading man in Detroit. While I have my own personal concerns with his turnovers and tough shot diet, I can't ignore the volume of production any longer. 6 Anthony Edwards 2 24.0 Minnesota Edwards became a terror with his pull-up shooting. I still want to see more playmaking growth, but it was positive to see Edwards add to his game in some facet. 7 Cooper Flagg 0 18.6 Dallas It is not hyperbole to say Flagg can do it all. He will be a highly impactful fantasy player Day 1 with contributions in every category. He has Top-5 potential due to that categorical breadth. 8 LaMelo Ball -1 23.9 Charlotte I know managers are concerned over injuries, but it's hard to find this combination of points, threes, and assists. I'm not ready to call Ball "injury-prone" just yet. 9 Chet Holmgren 0 23.2 Oklahoma City Holmgren had a rougher playoffs than I expected on the offensive end, but the overall talent is still clear. You won't get high-end points, but solid stats everywhere else should be in the cards as Holmgren continues to develop. 10 Jalen Williams 1 24.3 Oklahoma City Williams' consistency on offense was...well inconsistent for a player of this magnitude. That said, he brings so much value across the board. Even if he just settles in as an excellent second offensive option, that is more than good enough for impressive fantasy output. 11 Trae Young 2 26.9 Atlanta Young has looked a little sapped from a lingering Achilles injury over the season. Whether his drop in efficiency is due to that or will last long-term leaves me some small questions on his scoring going forward. Otherwise we know what Young does and does not bring to the table for fantasy. 12 Giannis Antetokounmpo 0 30.6 Milwaukee Even as the Bucks crumble, Giannis manages to stay a central force. We know his fantasy warts, but you can easily manage those in a dynasty setting with some smart teambuilding. 13 Tyrese Haliburton -8 25.4 Indiana Even with modern advances, I am extremely wary of how players look once they recover from Achilles injuries. You won't get any value next year with Haliburton recovering, but with his excellent floor-mapping you should at least get elite assists back once he returns. The scoring is where I am more skeptical. 14 Tyrese Maxey 0 24.7 Philadelphia Maxey has been able to up his scoring usage even further without much of a drop-off in his efficiency. He's becoming a elite scoring option in his own right. 15 Evan Mobley 5 24.1 Cleveland Mobley has improved a demonstrable amount in his drives and field-goal volume. He needs another step up in terms of scoring volume, blocks, and boards to jump up further. 16 Amen Thompson 7 22.5 Houston Thompson clearly doesn't need a shot to make a huge impact. The questions of where his offensive game can get to will persist, but the fantasy impact in all stats other than triples are evident. 17 Scottie Barnes -2 24.0 Toronto Barnes is looking less like "The Guy" on offense. His all-around stat set will always be juicy for dynasty managers, but I do question the scoring and on-ball ceiling. 18 Jayson Tatum -12 27.4 Boston Echoing Haliburton above, I have to be concerned if Tatum's best days are behind him. He is most likely to be effective, but perhaps at an 80-90% level of what we've seen from him. 19 Jalen Johnson 11 23.6 Atlanta I'm not fully sold on Johnson's scoring, but all the other gains look legit in terms of secondary passing, rebounding, and defensive stats. The latest injury doesn't concern me for this long-term value. 20 Karl-Anthony Towns -3 29.7 New York Towns is back to the height of his fantasy game. With elite boards and solid scoring across points, threes, and efficiency, Towns is a major influencer in more categories. 21 Franz Wagner 1 23.9 Orlando Maybe Wagner's assists tick down with Bane and Banchero fully back. His improved usage and shot volume looks here to stay. The lingering question is if his threes ever come around. 22 Alperen Sengun -6 23.0 Houston Sengun's finishing took a knock, partly because he wasn't able to capitilize on easy pick-and-roll finishes. Otherwise, as the Rockets improve their shooting and talent, I expect Sengun to have avenues to increase his scoring output and efficiency. 23 Domantas Sabonis -2 29.2 Sacramento Sabonis should keep rolling regardless of whatever team-building mess the Kings undergo. One has to worry if age fall-off is nearing. 24 Jaren Jackson Jr. -6 25.9 Memphis Jackson has become a viable points add while maintaining his other categories. This gives him more versatility with team builds. Want to get access to the FULL TABLE of Mark’s Dynasty Rankings? You’ll need to have a FANTASYPASS membership. Click here to learn more and sign up!
