How’d We Get Here?
The Cavs flamed out in the playoffs after a dominant regular season. They, like everyone else in the Eastern Conference, were undone by Tyrese Haliburton’s heroics. While it ended far too soon for the team’s liking, the Cavs flexed major muscle in a fantastic season and showed that their group makes for a title-worthy core. It was a quiet summer for the most part, with only two real swaps impacting the rotation: Lonzo Ball in, Ty Jerome out and Isaac Okoro being semi-replaced by Larry Nance Jr. The Cavs are hoping that continuity and a year of battle scars can get them where they want to go and as Indiana and Boston prepare for down seasons minus their superstars, Cleveland may not have a better chance than this.
