The weekend is here, and Saturday’s seven-game NBA slate has plenty to offer fantasy managers.
Phoenix finally has something to celebrate after snapping a four-game losing streak against Orlando. Devin Booker continues to look more like the player fantasy managers expected, Miles Bridges is delivering well beyond his draft position, and the Suns now have an opportunity to build some momentum against Houston.
Denver presents a different story. Nikola Jokiฤ and Jamal Murray have been outstanding, but the Nuggets’ reliance on their two stars raises questions about the supporting cast. Saturday’s matchup with an injury-riddled Indiana team should give them an opportunity to keep moving in the right direction.
And then there’s the main event in the Western Conference: San Antonio visiting Portland. Victor Wembanyama is coming off a historic performance, the Spurs have emerged as legitimate championship contenders, and the Trail Blazers have been one of the league’s most pleasant surprises. Their battle inside, particularly Wembanyama against Donovan Clingan, should be fascinating.
From a fantasy perspective, Saturday also offers several opportunities to get a little more out of the final days of Week 3. Six teams will be on the second night of a back-to-back, while Brooklyn begins a Saturday-Sunday set that could make its available players particularly valuable.
Let’s find the best additions and take a closer look at the games that matter.
