The tank race is coming into focus and we’re starting to near the point in the season where teams start shutting players down, or at least playing with their minutes and games played. If you see players like Zion Williamson or LaMelo Ball play and put up numbers, it will be your sign to try to move them for more reliable players. And studs who are injured or struggling, like Jalen Johnson or Jalen Williams, might be able to be had on the cheap before they get things turned back around.

Johnson has only missed two games with his shoulder injury, but for those of us who roster him, it feels like it’s been a lot more. There are no indications that it’s a serious injury and Johnson is sitting on Top 15 value in both eight- and nine-cat leagues, proving to be the fantasy monster we’ve all been waiting on him to become. The Hawks are currently sitting as the No. 8 seed in the East and have a chance to quickly move up if they can win some more games in the near future. Johnson’s value may never be lower than it is now and a panicking owner could be convinced to move him.
