Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Knicks will remain open to trading Marcus Morris despite enthusiasm from both sides about a longer-term commitment.
It's been reported that the Knicks and Morris like one another and that Morris would be willing to re-sign with the team. That's pretty rare for New York these days, so you can see why they'd be all over that. It would still make more long-term sense for the Knicks to get some futures out of their one-year deal with Morris, and we'll just have to see how good the offers get ahead of Thursday's deadline.
