Andre DrummondC, Detroit PistonsThe Hawks and Pistons have ceased trade discussions surrounding Andre Drummond, per Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports.
Goodwill says the proposed deal would have seen Drummond traded to Atlanta in exchange for Damian Jones, Chandler Parsons or Allen Crabbe (since dealt to Minnesota) and a first-rounder. That's not a huge return but Drummond plans to opt out and test free agency, and there simply won't be a lot of real value available to the Pistons because of the need to match salaries. The vibe is that Drummond gets traded before this February's deadline, but it looks like it won't be to Atlanta. Goodwill adds that the Hawks figure to go after Drummond in free agency.
