Karl-Anthony Towns made his long-awaited return to the court on Friday night, logging 28 minutes and delivering 27 points (9-of-21 shooting), five rebounds and three 3-pointers.

Towns played less than usual, which shouldn't come as a surprise, but he immediately assumed the lead dog role and led Minnesota in field goals. We'll see if he's good to go for tomorrow's game, as the Wolves could play it cautious and sit KAT on a back-to-back after a month-long absence due to a left knee sprain. Gorgui Dieng had eight points, four rebounds, two assists and two 3-pointers in 20 minutes off the bench but might be worth holding onto for the next couple of games until it's sure that Towns is in the clear.
