Yuta WatanabePG, Toronto RaptorsPer Blake Murphy of The Athletic (via Twitter), the Raptors announced Friday that they will carry both Yuta Watanabe and Henry Ellenson on their training camp roster.
Watanabe will be entering his third NBA campaign after spending the past two seasons with the Grizzlies. He only checked into 33 games over the course of those two years, averaging 2 points per game in just under six minutes a night. Ellenson, a Marquette product, has played parts of four NBA seasons with three different teams (the Pistons, Knicks and Nets). He spent most of the 2019-20 season in the G League and was traded to the Raptors for Justin Anderson. Ellenson and Watanabe will occupy two of the Raptors' final spots heading into training camp, bringing their roster total to 19.
