In the wake of the departures of head coach Mike D'Antoni and general manager Daryl Morey, James Harden and Russell Westbrook have expressed concern about the direction of the franchise, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The report by Woj adds that both have already communicated their worries to the Rockets’ front office even though neither has requested a trade. Harden and Westbrook were consulted during the Rockets' coaching search and were on board with hiring Stephen Silas but they remain skeptical about the team’s ability to continue being a contender. This is a major development since, if the organization is fearful that the superstars' commitment to remaining with the Rockets is wavering, they could be looking to move them and plenty of suitors would emerge.
