Brian Windhorst of ESPN is reporting that the Nets and the Pelicans held talks before the 2020 deadline centered around Jrue Holiday.
Holiday is commonly viewed as a player who would fit perfectly with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving due to his ability to play off the ball and defend. He can become a free agent in 2021 so the Pelicans are likely to explore potential trades for him in the offseason and he could very well form a big three with KD and Kyrie in Brooklyn. Look for more trade rumors involving Jrue to appear as we get closer to draft night.
