Trey BurkePG, Dallas MavericksTrey Burke stepped up for the Mavs in a big way on Friday, going bonkers from beyond the arc with eight 3s on his way to putting up a season-high 31 points on 11-of-16 shooting, adding one rebound, six assists and one steal.
Burke, who was late to join the Mavs in the NBA campus in Orlando, is apparently ready and raring to perform at a high level as shown by tonight's impressive performance. Seth Curry was awful as a starter, delivering just three points and was also plagued by foul trouble tonight – which played a role in opening up extra opportunities for Burke to shine. Burke is worth a look but won't get as much run if Curry finds his old form.
