• Victor Oladipo
    SG, Indiana Pacers

Victor Oladipo will be entering the final year of his contract with the Pacers for 2020-21 and he could come to terms on an extension before it begins but, unless there's an 11th-hour change, he appears content to wait.

This makes sense for Oladipo as, If he plays out his deal and becomes a free agent next summer, he will be eligible for more money and more years and he'll be at his physical peak provided he's fully recovered from right knee surgery. Still, Oladipo is taking a risk by not taking the bird in hand now to sign an extension, as the Pacers would give him one at the maximum allowed but only for four years. This is a situation that will be interesting to monitor as the team might decide to move away from him if they feel like they will lose him for nothing. Oladipo should be in top form for next year’s start and possibly even more motivated to earn a lucrative new deal.
