The Nuggets are expected to sign power forward Tyler Cook as their substitute two-way player on Friday after promoting PJ Dozier to a standard NBA deal earlier this week.
Cook was on a two-way contract with the Nuggets for preseason and training camp last summer but never appeared in a game for them, as he was released before the start of the season. The Cavs claimed him off the waiver wire and he signed two different 10-day deals with them during the regular season, spending most of his time between the G League (Canton and Oklahoma City) and the NBA. The Nuggets' signing of Cook will complete their roster for the upcoming NBA restart in Orlando.
