Dennis Smith Jr.PG, New York KnicksDennis Smith Jr. started and impressed on Monday with 15 points on 5-of-12 shooting, seven swipes, seven boards, five dimes and one triple in 29 minutes in a 112-123 road loss to the Rockets.
Smith has mainly been the Knicks' third point guard this season, though he is capable of playing off the ball as well. Regardless, he typically only plays a significant amount of minutes when both Elfrid Payton (right ankle) and Frank Ntilikina (bilateral groin) are out, like they were tonight. If they miss more time, Smith makes for an intriguing short-term pickup.
