Despite being interviewed for the Pacers' head coaching job, Dave Joerger will be joining Doc Rivers' staff in Philadelphia as an assistant.

Doc has started building his own staff after being hired by the Sixers two weeks ago. Dave Joerger has had success as a head coach in this league but has struggled to get along with the front office, something that won't be as big of an issue in an assistant role. Continue to expect Rivers to build a worthy staff on the east coast as he looks to take the Sixers to the next level.
