Risers & Fallers: Hitters Edition

Last week on risers and fallers we focused exclusively on pitchers, so this week the focus will be on hitters. There are plenty of good, young bats that are seemingly finding another level they didn’t have before or solidifying breakouts that we’ve been waiting for. On the flip side, determining the bats that are falling and struggling was tough, because there were far more than I care to admit. So let’s buckle in and get to it.

Pickups of the Day for May 17th

We've hit a stretch of the season where all the batters with swing changes and pitchers with velocity increases have been added and most of the hyped prospects have made their major league debut (with some already returning to the minors) so now we turn our attention to some alternate archetypes, including a rotation piece returning from injury, a prospect from outside the Top 100 making his debut, and two minor-leaguers who have caught the attention of evaluators recently.

Anthony’s Fantasy Baseball Week in Review

I just want to kick this off by stating the obvious: I am not Joe Orrico. So these week in review articles will feel very different, but very much the same. I'm definitely not trying to replace Joe, just fill in the gap that is now here. Each week, my goal will be to hit all 30 teams and go over fantasy relevant stats, notes, news, etc. to make it easier on you, the reader, to hopefully not miss anything vital. Some teams will get more words, some teams will get less, it all depends on what exactly happened last week.

Pickups of the Day for May 13th

It's Monday, which means a new matchup and another shot at a win. Everyday we are looking to find new players that can help lead us to victory, which means scouring the waiver wire for any player that can be impactful.

Hitting Weekly FAAB Report: May 12, 2024

If you are in a 12-team league or just a home fantasy baseball league, these might be players to keep an eye on, but not necessarily add right now. In addition, I will suggest bid ranges for these players based on the projected impact that I see them bringing to your team.

Streamer Tidd-Bits 5/13 – 5/19

Welcome to week six of Streamer Tidd-Bits. This week we will be recapping our Merit Based recommendations from the week of 4/22 – 4/28, the Matchup Based adds from 4/29 – 5/5, as well as…

Pickups of the Day for May 12th

As the 2024 MLB season approaches the quarter mark, it is a good time to assess your fantasy rosters and decide which struggling players you think can turn it around and which players you can send to the free agent pool. Today we will look at three hitters and a pair of pitchers to consider adding to your rosters.

Risers & Fallers: Pitching Edition

This week we talk about Paul Skenes (finally) getting the call to the majors, Nick Lodolo looking like he did as a rookie and Mason Miller's dominance closing, on the rising side. On the falling side, we'll discuss Tanner Bibee's sophomore stumble, Hunter Brown falling off of the cliff of startability and what to do with Joe Musgrove.

Pickups of the Day for May 10th

Compared to their free-swinging counterparts at the plate, pitchers are an incredibly volatile asset for fantasy managers. One elbow twinge or a sudden bout of tightness in the forearm can send even a first round workhorse straight from your starting lineup to the waiver wire overnight. But volatility provides an equal buying opportunity as simple mechanical changes can elevate a forgotten journeyman into a trusted starter in the blink of an eye.
