How’d We Get Here?

The Nuggets brought back the same championship group minus its most valuable bench contributor and still looked like one of the league’s top teams. Unfortunately, they ran into a team that was designed in a lab to beat them in the second round of the postseason. It was a tough summer as Denver lost a key contributor in Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, without adding someone of a similar skill set to try and fill those shoes. Jamal Murray was hobbled at the Olympics and discussions about his next contract lingered over most of the proceedings. It’s time for the young guys to step up, but as long as the Nuggets have Nikola Jokic, they’ve got a chance.
