Adam Wainwright UNDER 3.0 Pitcher Strikeouts

In 10 starts this season, Wainwright has gone over three strikeouts in only two games. He’s hit three on the nose twice and has gone under that number in the remaining six starts. His last start, which was at Busch Stadium, he couldn’t get past the second inning. He had to fight back tears in the post-game press conference after his last outing and I’m afraid we may be seeing the end of the veteran right-hander. Wainwright is in the bottom 1% in Whiff% per Baseball Savant.

Shoehi Ohtani OVER 7.5 Pitcher Strikeouts

You’re not really going to see a lower number for Ohtani strikeouts. He has 22 strikeouts combined in his last two starts and has looked like his dominant self on the mound lately. He trails only Spencer Strider in strikeout percentage at 33.2%.

Joe Musgrove OVER 5.5 Strikeouts

The Angels rank second in striking out over the last week. Musgrove has looked much better in June, going at least 18 outs in five out of his six June starts. He struck out six batters in his last start and seven in the preceding start, which came against the Nationals, the team with the least amount of strikeouts in the league.

Ezequiel Tovar OVER 0.5 Singles

Tovar has a single in 13 out of his last 15 games. He is on a 15 game hit streak and has 21 total hits over that stretch. We’re riding the hot hand here.

Matt Olson OVER 0.5 Total Runs

Nobody is hotter than the Atlanta Braves as a team right now. Matt Olson is fourth among all players in runs scored with 65. Ronald Acuna is 140 pts to hit a home run, so Olson to just score a run by any method is good value.

J.D. Martinez UNDER 0.5 Total RBIs + Runs

This is essentially a bet on him to not hit a home run. He has had only one game with an RBI that did not come from a home run out of his last 13 contests. Seven of the eight RBIs he’s had over that stretch came from two games.
