Julio Rodriguez OVER 1.5 Total Bases

As the Mariners continue their hot streak, J-Rod continues to perform at a high level. He has hit over 1.5 total bases in eight out his last 10 games and hit this number a few weeks ago in a matchup against Alec Marsh, the starting pitcher for the Royals in today’s game. In that game, Julio hit two singles off of Marsh. Rodriguez has 26 hits in the last 15 days.

Jared Shuster UNDER 3.5 Pitcher Strikeouts

This will be Jared Shuster’s first appearance since June 24th and it will come in primetime against the San Francisco Giants. When he was a member of this rotation earlier in the year, his strikeout numbers were not that impressive. In nine starts, he only struck out 25 batters while walking 22. This game will be in San Francisco as well and Shuster had only registered seven strikeouts on the road in four starts during his big-league stint earlier this season.

Luis Castillo OVER 5.0 Hits Allowed

Castillo faced off against this Royals squad on the 16th of August in which he gave up nine hits over seven innings. One thing is certain and that is that Luis Castillo will go deep into the game. He has gone six or more innings in nine out of his last 10 starts. That just gives KC’s bats more opportunities to get hits against the Seattle ace. He has been much better recently, but still has given up a number of hits in the month. In four August starts, he averages 6.5 hits allowed per game.

    Matt McLain OVER 0.5 Singles

Young Slade Cecconi will be getting the ball for the Diamondbacks in today’s matchup, which could mean a big day for the Reds. Cecconi has only made four starts for Arizona and while he was looked okay, his leash will be short. That means we could be seeing the Diamondbacks bullpen leaned on early and Matt McLain will be primed to take advantage of that. McLain has had a phenomenal rookie campaign and would lead the Reds in batting average, if he qualified, at .294.

Matt Olson OVER 0.5 Total RBIs

The Giants will be going with yet another bullpen game in tonight’s matchup. Matt Olson leads the league with 112 RBIs and you are getting him at plus money to get justĀ one knock against an overworked Giants bullpen. In this series alone, Olson has four RBIs in two games in San Francisco.

Wilmer Flores OVER 1.5 Total HITs + RUNsĀ

With Jared Shuster on the mound, the Giants should be able to produce a good amount of offense. Wilmer Flores is hovering around .300 on the season and has scored eight runs over the last two weeks. He hit a 2-run bomb in Saturday’s matchup between these two teams and is hitting .341 against left-handed pitching this season. Shuster is a left-hander and will be making his first start in over two months.
