Bobby Witt Jr. OVER 7.0 Hitter Fantasy Score
Bobby Witt Jr. is coming off one of the more impressive homestands we’ve seen this season. In that six game stretch, Witt registered a hit in all six games with 15 total hits, a walk-off grand slam, three home runs, 13 total RBIs and three stolen bases. He has already eclipsed his stolen base total from last season and the number at 7.0 means that a walk and stolen base hits the number. Aaron Nola starts for the Phillies tonight and in 32.1 July innings, he gave up 32 total hits with nine hits allowed in just his last start.
Wander Franco OVER 7.5 Hitter Fantasy Score
This is another guy who ranks in the top five when it comes to stolen bases this season. Bobby Witt Jr. is fourth on that list and Wander Franco is right behind him with 29 swipes so far this year. The lower fantasy scores are enticing for speedsters who carry the threat of a stolen base every time they reach first. These guys have some power at the plate as well and the matchup with Reese Olson of the Tigers is not necessarily a difficult one for Tampa and Wander Franco. Franco is on a six game hit streak and has scored a run in all six of those games. Olson has a 5.40 ERA at home this season.
Underdog Fantasy
Chas McCormick OVER 0.5 Singles
The Astros are starting to get some crucial bats back with Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez rejoining the lineup in recent days. Their lineup all of a sudden looks like one of the most dangerous in the league and that’s because of guys like Kyle Tucker and Chas McCormick producing to a level that has kept the Astros in their division race, even with all the injuries they’ve experienced. Luis Severino will be on the mound for the hometown Yankees in the second game of this series. Severino has been absolutely brutal lately and after his most recent start said he feels like “the worst pitcher in the game.” You can target a few different Houston bats, but McCormick’s .345 batting average since the start of July makes him the one that I would target to get a single. He has 16 singles in 25 games since July 1st.
Merrill Kelly OVER 6.0 Strikeouts
The matchup here for Merrill Kelly should result in a decent number of strikeouts. The Twins are the strikeout leaders over the course of the season and Kelly has been able to work later into games for the Diamondbacks all year. The only game he has gone fewer than five innings was in his first start of the year against the Dodgers. Since June, Kelly has managed at least five strikeouts in all but one start. The matchup should put him over the edge in tonight’s game.

Anthony Santander OVER 1.5 Total Bases
With all the pitching talent leaving Queens, David Peterson starts tonight and will most likely moving back into the rotation. He has not been that effective and has been even less effective away from Citi Field. His road ERA this season is sitting at 8.41 in 35 innings pitched. Anthony Santander had a rough outing his last time out against Kevin Gausman and the Blue Jays, striking out four times. Chalk that up to a bad matchup and it’s time to move on to a much easier matchup at home against the lowly Mets. Santander leads the Orioles in home runs and RBIs this season.
Aaron Nola UNDER 7.5 Total Ks
In Aaron Nola’s last ten starts, he has gone under 7.5 strikeouts in eight of them. He has been okay, just okay, this season. He’s been giving up too many hits and struggled in his last start, giving up seven runs and nine hits in only 4.2 innings of work against the Pirates. The Royals enter tonight on a six game winning streak.
