MLB DFS Delivery for Tuesday, September 12th

  • The past few days have been impacted by inclement weather conditions in the Northeastern and midwestern US. The White Sox and Royals already had their game postponed on Monday and it appears both games of the double header that were supposed to take place on Tuesday will again be pushed back. The Red Sox and Yankees have a double header of their own scheduled, which looks to be taking place without issue.

This is for the 9/12 4:05 PM PST classic slate on Draftkings.

    Writer’s Record

    48-24-1

Baltimore Orioles -1.5 (+100) vs St. Louis Cardinals

Adam Wainwright takes the mound for the Cardinals in search of 200 wins. He is stuck at 198 but it seems he might be stuck on that number the rest of the year. He has not been good for the Cardinals and is reaching Jordan Lyles territory. The Cardinals have lost the last seven games Wainwright has started.

    DFS Pillar Plays

    Zack Littell

    Position: P

    Salary: $6,700

Despite his unimpressive strikeout numbers, Zack Littell has been effective since coming into the starting rotation for the Rays. His last start went eight innings on an efficient 86 pitches against the Mariners. He only struck out four batters, but his ability to last deep into games makes him valuable at his price point. He has lasted into the sixth inning in six out of his last seven starts.

    Willy Adames

    Position: SS

    Salary: $4,300

Willy Adames and the Brewers all of a sudden appear to be a legitimately dangerous team in the NL playoff picture. Their pitching staff is maybe the best in the league and they just need their offense to come through, which Willy Adames has been doing of late. He is streaky but he is on a hot streak at the moment. Adames had three hits on Monday, all of which went for extra bases. The Marlins will be starting an opener in Tuesday’s game.

    Julio Rodriguez

    Position: OF

    Salary: $6,600

Patrick Sandoval is starting for the Angels and he was brutal in his last start against this same Mariners squad. Julio hit a homer off Sandoval in that game and has two home runs against him in his career. J-Rod had a four hit game on Monday and is three shy of hitting the RBI century mark. Julio is hitting .328 against left-handed pitching this season.

    DFS Value Plays (<$3500 Salary)

    Logan O’Hoppe

    Position: C

    Salary: $3,400

The young catcher is one of the few bright spots for this Angels team. He went yard twice in Monday’s game and Bryan Woo is taking the mound for the Mariners on Tuesday. Woo has shown flashes, but has been inconsistent with his performances this year.

    Jason Heyward

    Position: OF

    Salary: $3,100

The veteran should be in the lineup for the Dodgers tonight against a right-handed pitcher in Michael Wacha for the Padres. He has been pretty good when in the lineup this season, especially at home. His OPS at Dodger Stadium is .891.

    DJ Stewart

    Position: OF

    Salary: $3,100

DJ Stewart has been on an incredible pace since he came into this Mets lineup. He hit eight home runs in August and already has two in September. The Diamondbacks will be throwing young righty Ryne Nelson out there in tonight’s matchup. Stewart has a hit in three straight and is averaging 8.1 FPPG at home this season.
