Welcome to today’s DFS Delivery article.

We have only 2 games on the slate tonight, so being different from the rest of the field is quite the challenge. A good way to separate yourself is to leave salary on the table since maxing out your salary will certainly lead you to a duplicated lineup.

As always, make sure to pay attention to the news across the NBA as things could change in a matter of seconds (yes I am looking at you, James Harden!).

Enough with the theory though, let’s go and have a look at some of my top plays for tonight on DraftKings.

Player Tiers

Expensive Tier

Joel Embiid ($11,400) – Joel Embiid is as close to a lock as you can get on a slate. Embiid has been playing out of his mind recently, accruing 65-plus DraftKings points in each of his last four appearances, and having a 43.2% usage rate in the last 2 weeks!
I expect Embiid to have another monster performance, in a marquee matchup against the Lakers. You can fade him at your own risk since this would give you a huge edge on the rest of the field, but I would not recommend trying to get different here.

LeBron James ($11,100) – James becomes an easy pay-up option since he has his PG/SF eligibility once again which allow for roster flexibility in lineup builds. Even with Anthony Davis returning to the lineup for the Lakers, James has returned 5x value at his current salary in each of his last two games and in three of his past four. Plus, he is someone that can give us even more than that, especially in a game like this.

Mid-Tier

Anthony Edwards ($8,100) – Edwards is coming off a monster game versus the Portland Trail Blazers where he had 65.25 DraftKings points and I prefer him to Russell since he seems to have taken a back seat the last couple of weeks to both Edwards and KAT.  The game against the Warriors won’t be an easy one for Edwards, but his high usage rate and 35-plus minutes should give us enough volume to overcome anything that the Warriors will through at him tonight.

Tobias Harris ($7,300) –  Through all the booing and bad rep, Harris is still a 1.03 fantasy points per minute player for the season. He produced 57.25 DraftKings points on Tuesday and has 40-plus fantasy points in the last 3 games. I do not see that changing tonight against the Lakers and with the 76ers running tight rotations lately, Harris should see 36-40 minutes, which should at least return value on DraftKings.

Value

Furkan Korkmaz ($4,800) – Seth Curry and Shake Milton are out and Danny Green is questionable to play. Korkmaz should draw another start, and he’s played 37-plus minutes in three straight contests, which makes his price tag of $4,800 very intriguing given that you just won’t get those minutes from any other player in that price range. The game against the Lakers is a pace-up spot for the Sixers and the Lakers are also bottom-five in 3-pointers allowed to the guard position this season.

Malik Monk ($4,500) –  Monk has been up and down this season, but I blame that more on the inconsistent rotations that the Lakers are having more than Monk himself. He seems to be more confident when he is starting and is a streaky shooter but as we saw two nights ago in Brooklyn when his shot is falling he seems unstoppable. He posted 36.25 DraftKings that night and although we do not need so many points from him to hit value, it is good to know that he has that ceiling, especially if you want to roster him in large GPPs.
