Franz Wagner has played in seven games since his return and is averaging 27.7 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 3.1 apg and 2.3 3pm on 46/33/85 splits, overshadowing Paolo Banchero’s 18.3/5.9/5.7 stat-line on 37/16/54 splits. The Nuggets are on a back-to-back and just won yesterday against the Pelicans, and they have a tough test today against the Magic. Denver’s defense allows the most assists and is top-10 in both 3s made and 3-point attempts allowed to other teams, and despite the Magic not being a great 3-point shooting team, this hole in the Nuggets defense fits Franz strenghts perfectly. As a matter of fact, Denver allows the 4th most assists and 2nd most threes to opposing SFs and the most points and threes to opposing SGs, highlighting their perenial difficulty of defending players that have the same skill-set as Franz.
