It’s Monday and the NBA is begining it’s week with an eight game slate on Martin Luther King’s day! And we’re here to analyze an early five game slate and the night two game slate! On the first one, we’re full of enticing matchups. The up-and-coming Pistons are facing the up-and-coming Rockets, the Grizzlies are facing the Wolves in a possible Playoff preview and ditto for the Hawks @ Knicks! They’re tied for the highest O/U of the slate with the Suns @ Cavs game, standing at 236.5 points. And finally, we’ve got a 2022 Finals rematch, Celtics @ Warriors! As for the later slate, we’ll have Jazz @ Pelicans playing Capture the Flagg and the always fantasy relevant Bulls playing against the Clippers! Let’s get right to it!

DFS Pillar Plays
Jalen Brunson
Salary: $8,900
Position: PG
The villain is here! Or is he? Trae Young ($9,800) should be back at Madison Square Garden today (he’s questionable), and his last two games at MSG were good – 23/6/10 and 22/5/11. But the Knicks defense vs. opposing PGs has been stifling, allowing the 8th least points and 3rd least threes to opposing PGs. Meanwhile, Knicks saviour Jalen Brunson had 21/3/4 and 14/4/8 in those two matchups. And the Hawks won both games. Can we expect that the Hawks go 3-0 in their last three games in MSG? Well, the Knicks are favoured by 6.5 and the Hawks allow the most threes and 3rd best fg% to opposing PGs, so chances are Brunson regresses to his expected mean when it regards to games against the Hawks at MSG. Oh, and Brunson’s last five games? He’s been averaging 49 fppg on red hot 53/41/88 shooting splits!
