Welcome to the DFS Delivery, the article that helps you build your DFS lineups and focuses on the overall best plays at the time of writing.
As usual, we have a decent-sized Friday night slate, filled with some good matchups and plenty of DFS opportunities across all price tiers.
So, let’s dive into my favorite plays at the moment.
Player Tiers
Expensive Tier
Joel Embiid ($11,200) – The MVP front-runner returned to the lineup against the Lakers on Wednesday and posted a 60-point fantasy performance. Embiid is in a good spot as well and could pile on points against this Clippers team since I do not know who on the Clippers can truly guard Embiid effectively. I expect him to have another huge game tonight and he will be my top priority.
Donovan Mitchell ($9,000) – The Charlotte Hornets have been a bottom-five defense all season and the Jazz have the second-highest implied total on the slate. With the way Donovan Mitchell has been playing, his price tag looks too low for this matchup. Mitchell has put up 36 or more points in three of his last four games, and over the last month is averaging 27 points and six assists. The Jazz do need to win this game, so Mitchell will once again play heavy minutes.
Mid-Tier
Jerami Grant ($7,100) – Grant has been crushing it lately, averaging 21.9 points in his last 10 games. He has five straight games with 30-plus fantasy points and has a 50.5 one in there also. In the last couple of months, he is averaging 1.02 fantasy points per minute and has a 25.5% usage rate in that span. Going up against the Wizards, who are on the tail end of a back-to-back, should help him as well.
Drew Eubanks ($6,300) – Eubanks has posted 30-plus fantasy points in three of his last four games and tonight he is going up against the Rockets, who are dead last in the NBA in rebounding % and are also dead last in fantasy points allowed to centers. He has played 30-plus minutes in six of his seven last games and has been a steady producer for this team ever since he signed his first 10-day contract.
Value
Kris Dunn ($4,500) – Dunn moved into the starting lineup for the first time on Wednesday and although he only posted 22.75 fantasy points in 25 minutes, he looked solid enough. Tonight though, he is going up against the Rockets, a matchup with more potential to put up numbers. In his past five games, Dunn has averaged 8.4 points, 5.6 assists, and 2.6 rebounds for 24.2 fantasy points per game and although those numbers are not exceptional, his path to huge minutes in an excellent game environment makes him extremely appealing at 4.5K.
Otto Porter Jr. ($4,600) – Porter was rested for the Warriors’ surprising win in Miami on Wednesday, but in the two previous games (both without Curry) Porter Jr. posted fantasy scores of 42.5 and 37.75, with a double-double in both games and that’s with Draymond Green playing! Going up against Atlanta should help him also since they are starting with Gallinari at the 4 these days, who is – let’s say – not someone to be afraid going up against.
Honorable Mentions: Luka Doncic ($12,100), Bam Adebayo ($8,000), Kevin Porter Jr. ($6,000), Alperen Sengun ($6,200), Greg Brown ($3,400).
