• It’s Friday, the trade deadline is past us, Chet Holmgren is back and we’re here to cover today’s main six game slate! The highest O/U game of the slate is the Bucks @ Hawks game, standing at 241. The Hawks just made some major trades and opened up opportunities for their wings – we’ll discuss that shortly! Oh, and what about Moussa Diabate? Mark Williams is on LA and Jusuf Nurkic should not active yet, so the Diabate – Taj Gibson will be tasked to defend Victor Wembanyama! There’s a lot more to get to, so let’s get started!

    Trae Young

    Salary: $9,600

    Position: PG

Trae Young is listed as probable for today’s game, but if he’s playing, there’s plenty of good reasons to love him today. The Hawks will be relying on Trae Young even more this season, after trading away De’Andre Hunter and Bogdan Bogdanovic. Caris LeVert, Terrance Mann and Bones Hyland, the new additions, aren’t expected to play today. But onto the main reasons. In two games vs. the Bucks this season, Trae put up 35/7/10 and 17/4/7. On the latter game, Trae shot just 31% from the field and 0/9 from three, both numbers that shouldn’t be repeated, as the Bucks allow the most points and 2nd best fg% to opposing PGs. Over the past three games, Trae put up 68.75, 47 and 53 ftps and is on a small heater, shooting 49% from the field with 12 threes made. Staying on the Hawks, rookie Zacharie Risacher ($4,500)has four straight 25+ fpts games before his 7.25 fpts stinker last game, and the Hawks are expected to trust him more after the Hunter trade. Hunter left behind a 24% usage rate and seven threes attempted per game, stats that Risacher could jump into. Onyeka Okongwu ($6,300) deserves special attention, as Clint Capela remains sidelined and Okongwu got 22, 30.25, 33.75, 27 and 57 fpts in his last five games without the Swiss big man.
