Superficially, the Clippers don’t seem like a great matchup for Jokic. They give up the 3rd least rebounds, and the 5th least rebounds to opposing Cs, while allowing only the 20th best fg% to opposing Cs. But how has Nikola Jokic fared against Ivica Zubac in their last matchups? Well, these are his points/rebounds/assists against him since 2023: 12/6/9 – first game in 2023, nothing much, but the Joker played only 24 minutes; 32/16/9; 22/15/10; 36/17/10; 41/9/4; 28/14/11. Amazing numbers. Jokic has averaged 39.4 ppg, 14.8 rpb and 8.8 apg in five December games. He’s having one of the best streches of one of the best statistical seasons ever – 71.5 fpts per game is absurd. He’s the highest priced player of the slate, but his play in December isn’t being reflected in his price-tag. Nikola Jokic is way ahead of the pack today and should be in a lot of winning lineups.
