This is the stretch of the season where clarity becomes everything. Rotations tighten in some places, unravel in others, and the edge often goes to the manager who reads the minutes before the box score explodes. The goal here is simple: identify the players whose roles are solidifying and separate them from the noise.
In this edition of our Fantasy Basketball Daily Cheat Sheet, we focus on names who should not be sitting on waiver wires in competitive leagues. Some come with stable paths to value, others require a bit more monitoring, but all have realistic avenues to impact the rest of your season. As always, this is about balancing upside with role security and making moves with intention, not impulse.

Top Pickups
This is the “general must-add” section regardless of the slate. If these players are being overlooked and remain chilling on the waiver wire, consider adding them to your squad.
Justin Champagnie (9%)
Justin has been one of our favorites, and last night was a clean reminder of why: 26:55, 12 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and 2 triples. The steals and defensive activity pop, and the role, when itโs there, is fantasy viable without needing outlier usage. This feels like a reasonable baseline, not some heater youโre chasing after the fact.
Now, context matters. Tristan Vukcevic missed yesterdayโs game but should be able to return, and thereโs a good chance Kyshawn George sits this one. Weโve also seen the other side of it: DNP-CDs, full-blown timeshares, and rotation roulette that can make the entire group borderline unplayable on a given night.
So hereโs the measured approach. If Champagnie is sitting on your waiver wire, I wouldnโt sprint to add him. Monitor the injury report and the rotation signals. If heโs lined up to play meaningful minutes next game, thatโs your window. Add with intention, not emotion.
