‘My Guys’ has become my bread and butter column over the last several years and I’m proud to say that it’s exclusively available only to SportsEthos.com subscribers. It’s basically a list of the players I am targeting in my NBA drafts this year. Some of them are rather obvious, while others may fly a little under the radar. Either way, these are ‘My Guys’ and most of them will be on a lot of my teams.
If you use this column along with the ‘Bruski 150’, Rick Kamla’s ‘Pop Players’, our Draft Tracker and the information in the SportsEthos Draft Guide, you will do very well in your drafts/leagues. So without further ado, here is my 2025-26 season ‘My Guys’ column. Enjoy and good luck in your leagues this season.
Please note that the rounds listed below are there simply for organization and are general estimates. It’s quite possible these players could go earlier or later than what is listed, but, as of the early drafts I’ve completed, this is generally where I have these guys going in standard leagues.
Round 1 Targets
Victor Wembanyama
He’s healthy and ready to cook, and could pull off one of the greatest seasons in fantasy hoops that we’ve ever seen. He’ll have to stay healthy to do it, but he should easily finish as the No. 1 player in fantasy. And it’s possible he could even fall to No. 2 or No. 3 in your draft.
Luka Doncic
The cover of Men’s Health Magazine. The sculpted body. The chip on his shoulder. Holding the keys to the Lakers franchise. If he’s going to win the MVP, it’s probably going to happen this season. He’s going to be an unstoppable monster, as long as he can keep his ankles in good shape. I have Wemby ranked No. 1, Luka ranked No. 2 and Jokic ranked at No. 3 with SGA at No. 4. Call me crazy.
