Dwight HowardC, Philadelphia SixersThe Sixers have officially announced the signing of Dwight Howard.
The Lakers' loss is the Sixers' gain, as they pick up Howard on the cheap to operate as Joel Embiid's backup. He won't be able to carve out timeshare minutes like he did with JaVale McGee last season but Embiid's penchant for absences should give Howard his moments in the sun. As such, he figures to be an unappealing nightly option but will have fantasy appeal on certain days. Last season Howard showed he still has the chops to contribute on a good team, and he'll bring some edge and interior presence to a second unit that lacked both.
