Al HorfordPF, Philadelphia SixersAdrian Wojnarowski reports that the Sixers have agreed to trade Al Horford, a first-round pick and a second-round pick to the Thunder for Danny Green.
Horford was a bad fit in Philly and the Sixers, led by Daryl Morey, dump his bloated contract in exchange for a 3-and-D wing. They gave up a pair of picks as the cost of doing business, but Morey's teams have never been all that eager to draft in round one anyway. This gives Horford a shot at a much larger role, though his place on a Thunder squad that's rebuilding could be temporary. Plus, Sam Presti just keeps piling up draft picks — in this deal OKC acquires a lightly protected 2025 first-rounder as well as the 34th selection in this year's draft. Green will give the Sixers some much needed shooting presence and versatility on the wings.
