Danilo GallinariSF, Oklahoma City ThunderMarc Stein is reporting that teams believe the Hawks will be in the pole position for Danilo Gallinari and Rajon Rondo when free agency opens.
Both players have been connected to the Hawks in recent days and the volume has only increased in the time since the rumors first hit the airwaves. It looks like the Hawks will try and beef up their roster to make a playoff push, with veterans like Gallinari and Rondo making logical complements for the team's young core. We'll see what happens, as both players are expected to draw attention from multiple other teams that may be able to offer a better shot at contention than Atlanta.
