Andre Drummond

Andre Drummond is bypassing free agency and picking up his $28.7 million player option for next season to stay with the Cavs, according to Marc Stein of NY Times.

This was somehow expected as Drummond wouldn’t be able to secure that kind of money in the current market. The sides had some talks about a potential extension but there was reportedly not much progress made and the big man could be a trade candidate with a juicy expiring contract now in place.
