RJ BarrettSF, New York KnicksMarc Berman is reporting that Kenny Atkinson has conducted another interview with the Knicks about their head coaching position, though it's unclear if this is his second or third round.
Tom Thibodeau is thought to be the frontrunner for the gig but the Knicks are reportedly being "very thorough" in their search, which seems like a nice change for the organization if that's actually the truth. Atkinson was a big part of Brooklyn's turnaround, and his hard-working culture helped those teams turn into something greater than the sum of their parts. His departure from the Nets was a big shock and he shouldn't be out of work for long. A younger voice like Atkinson's may be a good fit with the rebuilding Knicks, but ultimately the organization will pick who they think is best.
