Jahlil OkaforC, New Orleans PelicansJahlil Okafor managed to play 15.2 minutes per game in 28 contests, scoring 7.6 points and adding 4.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 0.7 blocks, good for 280/304 value in 8/9-cat leagues on a per-game basis.
Okafor battled minor injuries throughout the year but he also took advantage of the extended absence of Derrick Favors, making nine starts. He struggled with consistency but he was able to generate fantasy value when given the minutes and proved that he still has a future in the league. The Pelicans are building their team around a young core while Favors is a free agent at the end of the year, so it remains to be seen whether Okafor can earn a more prominent role with the organization.
