Kevin DurantSF, Brooklyn NetsKevin Durant (right Achilles tear), who already announced that he wouldn't return to game action this season, also will not travel with his teammates to Orlando for the NBA's restart at the Walt Disney World campus.
Durant continues to progress in the rehab of his right Achilles that he tore over a year ago in the NBA Finals. It makes sense for him and any other player who is injured or unable to take the floor to not make the trip to Florida, especially with the drastic spike in COVID-19 cases across the United States. Teams are limited to travel parties of 35 so there's no reason for an inactive player to take up one of those slots. Furthermore, Durant recently indicated that he isn't sure he would participate in the league's restart plan even if he were fully healthy. Look for Durant to try to be ready for next season's training camp as a full participant.
