Andre Drummond made two triples on his debut with the Cavs, but that’s an aberration since he never hit that many in 591 regular season games with the Pistons.

“I think we have to sit and talk about it,” Cavs coach John Beilein said. “I haven’t seen enough of it in practice to determine whether the percentages say it’s a great possession. He’s not going to be known for making triples here. But if he can prove that when he’s open, we’ve got to look at it.” Beilein is open-minded and doesn’t want to put players in a box but the indication so far is that he wants Drummond to be a force in the middle. The veteran coach urged Larry Nance Jr. to shoot more last year and the athletic forward worked all summer on extending his range. This will be a situation to monitor going forward and fantasy managers should just welcome any additional triples as a nice bonus.
