Weathering the Impact on Your Fantasy Players (May 5-7)

  • Rain may briefly delay a couple games this weekend, but most MLB games will be dry. Regardless of rain chances, not all hitting environments are created equal. Some of this weekend’s hitters will take their hacks in very favorable temperatures in the 80s while others will be relegated to playing their games with temps only in the 50s. Here’s a short rundown of this weekend’s best and worst hitting environments:

    This Week’s Worst Hitting Environments

If you’re deciding between two similar hitters, shy away from the one playing in colder weather. This weekend’s coldest series are mainly West Coast games:

    • Houston at Seattle (chilly with temps in the 50s)
    • Milwaukee at San Francisco (chilly with temps in the 50s)
    • LA Dodgers at San Diego (temps only near 60)
    • Texas at LA Angels (temps just 60-65)
    • Also Minnesota at Cleveland (temps only 55-65)
