Welcome to Thursday Night Pickups: Fantasy Basketball Adds. We are at the end of the final week and despite a light Thursday night, there’s numerous Silly Season streaming options that can be added for the home stretch. Give it a read below!
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Karlo Matkovic, PF/C, NO (13% rostered)
Tonight: 30 minutes, 15 points (6-of-12 FG), three triples, 10 rebounds and one steal.
Analysis: Matkovic is getting his time to shine as the season comes to a close, providing solid scoring, rebounding and steals as the Pels don’t have much to play for right now. It was promising to see him get the start tonight and may be able to stay there with the team not having much incentive to play veterans like Kelly Olynyk any further. He’s one of the better big men to grab right now for fantasy.
Kevin Porter Jr., PG, MIL (17% rostered)
Tonight: 23 minutes, 20 points (6-of-11 FG, 7-of-9 FT), one triple, five rebounds, seven assists and five steals.
Analysis: Porter Jr. is finishing the season with a bang, grabbing 10 steals in his last two games whilst scoring 20 or more points in four straight games. What makes the lines more impressive is that he’s only seen over 25 minutes in two of those games, but is clear that he’s benefitting with the absence of Damian Lillard. He looks like the guard to own in Milwaukee over the final two games of the season.
Zaccharie Risacher, SF/PF, ATL (31% rostered)
Tonight: 35 minutes, 38 points (15-of-20 FG, 2-of-5 FT), six triples, four rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.
Analysis: Risacher has been tough to trust with his inconsistency this season, but he’s shown the ability to pop off for big scoring games which he showed tonight. He’s only scored in double figures in four of his last seven, but that includes to performances scoring 36 and 38 points, showing his ceiling. If you can get him on the right night, he can provide solid scoring with some minor contributions across the board but the hardest part is getting the timing right.
Ty Jerome, PG, CLE (20% rostered)
Tonight: 26 minutes, 24 points (9-of-16 FG, 2-of-2 FT), four triples, two rebounds, six assists and one block.
Analysis: Jerome found himself in the starting lineup with Darius Garland being sidelined, which could be a theme to finish the regular season as the Cavs look to enter the playoffs fresh. He has posted three strong games in a row and has now hit seven triples and provided 11 assists over his last two, combining well with strong points totals. He should see plenty of playing time over the final few games and is a reliable source of points, assists and triples.
