Welcome to Thursday Night Pickups: Fantasy Basketball Adds for 1/23! There were plenty of surprising performances sprinkled in with some ol’ reliables and a dash of injury fill-ins. Don’t worry, I’ll take you through all of it below!
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Jeremy Sochan, F, SAS (44% rostered)
Tonight: 18 minutes, 13 points (6-of-9 FG), nine rebounds, three assists, a 3-pointer.
Analysis: Sochan only played 18 minutes. Factoring in he was returning from a five-game absence though, this was a fairly solid stat line. Sochan has been good for FG% help, points, and rebounds. If he was dropped in your league, it’s time to snatch him back up if you need those stats.
Kel’el Ware, C, MIA (41% rostered)
Tonight: 35 minutes, 22 points (9-of-15 FGS, 2-of-2 FTs), two treys, 10 rebounds, one steal, two blocks.
Analysis: I’ve had Ware as a deeper league add for the past few weeks, but he has accelerated into a must-roster player at this point. He’s been within the top-50 the past two weeks with solid additions in points, boards, FG%, triples, and blocks. That sure sounds like a player that every fantasy roster could use!
