STUDS
1. Puka Nacua
Puka had an incredibly special day after returning from injury. He will be the WR1 for the Rams the rest of the way. As for all of our fantasy managers who decided not to play him on Thursday night, we ultimately think it’s the right decision. Stick with the proper thought process. You never know if someone is going to have a snap count issue or, unfortunately, reinjured themselves or anything of that sort. It’s better to be cautious and be sorry later than to be aggressive and make mistakes. Move forward and start Puka against the Seahawks next week.
2. Justin Jefferson
Justin Jefferson hasn’t deserved the love we need to give him the season on this list. He has simply been incredible and the best receiver in the National Football League. We have also talked at nauseam about Jefferson’s incredible connection with his quarterback, Sam Darnold. At this point, it’s just a matter of continuing to relax and enjoy the ride, as Jefferson will lead many teams to a fantasy championship.
3. Kyren Williams
Kyren’s ability to find the end zone every week is nothing short of incredible. As Kirk Herbstreit said on Thursday’s broadcast, this guy needs a lot more love across the league as a clear top running back. There’s not much more to say than that he is just in a really special place. Keep rolling with him, and watch the touchdowns roll as well.
DUDS
1. Cooper Kupp
While 16.1 PPR fantasy points doesn’t seem like a dud night, you know his ceiling is undoubtedly higher as Cooper Kupp made a significant impact in the win against the Vikings on Thursday outside of the fantasy stat sheet, being an impressive blocker and decoy for the rest of the offense. That will not be the norm, though, as he will get his opportunities, and now that the trade rumors are behind him, you know he’s even more excited to catch the ball from Matthew Stafford this season. Keep riding with him as a WR1, as the targets will come fast in the next few weeks.
2. Jordan Addison
Jordan Addison has been such an interesting fantasy case study this season, as we have highlighted in the past few weeks in our wide receiver rankings. You expect him to have a more significant role in this Sam Darnold. While Addison’s play certainly won’t be as significant as Justin Jefferson’s, having him on your fantasy roster in a flex situation should still be more than serviceable. Still, he just hasn’t been this season. If you watch Thursday’s game closely, particularly in the first quarter, this offense can definitely create successful opportunities for Addison, especially considering the two losses. They will have to rely on him more as time goes on. Stay the course with him on your bench for the time being.
