Even with a small four-game slate, there is still plenty to talk about. Lots of teams were dealing with a slew of injuries tonight, meaning we saw some players emerge with fantasy lines. Let’s get into them!
Standard Leagues
(<50% rostered on Yahoo)
Jalen Smith, F/C, Pacers
Tonight: 24 minutes, 20 points (9-11 FG, 0-for-1 FT), two triples, nine rebounds, two steals, two blocks
Smith has slotted into a decent-sized backup role. Even in just under 20 minutes per game, he has an intriguing fantasy game. He can run hold or cold, so just be aware you’ll sometimes catch games like this or sometimes you’ll get some zeros. Still, it makes him worth a low-end look in standard leagues.
Paul Reed, F/C, Sixers
Tonight: 28 minutes, seven points (3-of-9 FG, 1-of-1 FT), 10 boards, four dimes, a steal, two blocks
With Joel Embiid’s season in jeopardy due to a meniscus injury, Reed needs to be added everywhere. The scoring will come and go, but his defensive playmaking ability and rebounds make for a solid player on any squad.
