Halfway through September and we only have two weeks of daily pickups left. The wire is getting thin, but let’s not be too picky. Now is the time to ride the hot bat or the hot arm and ditch those underperforming players. Once you get this deep into the playoffs, anywhere you can find help, you’ll take it.

Let’s take a look at a few options that can help your team out today.

Jonny DeLuca – OF – WAS – 9%, Yahoo

DeLuca has played pretty much everyday over the last 6 weeks and has been very productive. Over 96 plate appearances he has hit three home runs, scored 16, driven in 9 and stolen seven bases, with a 0.281 batting average.

He doesn’t have a ton of power, but should steal plenty of bases. He’s a low walk, low strikeout player who is being given every opportunity to earn himself a spot in the opening day lineup for 2025. He hits more balls in the air than on the ground and has a healthy 20% line drive rate, so he should continue to be productive through the final weeks of the season. If you need steals or runs or some OF help, DeLuca is your man.
