How’d We Get Here?
The Thunder completed their rebuild with an NBA Championship, dominating the league throughout the regular season and then outlasting a few tough opponents in the playoffs. It’s a scary thought for the rest of the league, as these young Thunder barely knew how to pop champagne at the victory party. There’s a lot more years left for this group to develop further, to say nothing of their prospects of winning again. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the MVP, Jalen Williams was awesome, the additions of Isaiah Hartenstein and Alex Caruso worked like a charm. The Thunder did very little over the offseason aside open up the coffers to hand out three massive contract extensions to SGA, Williams and Holmgren, so this same group is ready to roll for a while.
