Head-to-Head leagues are the most common format for fantasy basketball and it’s easy to see why with the way they simulate regular NBA competition. You and your opponent battle it out, one-on-one, with space in the standings on the line. The standings are more fluid and you get the rush of a head-to-head matchup every week. Can’t beat that.

There are some finer points to learn if you want to thrive, however, and that’s why we’re here today. It’s easy to say “draft a good team” but there’s more to it than that, and hopefully some of these tips, tricks and general strategy notes can help you succeed in your Head-to-Head leagues. We’re going to focus on head-to-head category leagues with snake drafts; we already have strategy guides for points leagues and auction drafts available.
