The hope for White will be that the addition of Josh Giddey and the re-introductions of Zach LaVine plus Lonzo Ball could help his efficiency, but his touches could scale back a little. White is coming off a breakout season in which he grabbed a starting job and put himself above the pack in a very crowded backcourt, emerging as a critical floor-spacer and scoring threat for Chicago on the way to top-89/95 value in 8/9-cat leagues.
On the side of Cam Thomas, there is unquestionable potential for heaps of opportunity. On a team starving for offense, Thomas will not to be shy about satisfying his own hunger to score. That merits some attention but we have seen the volume-scorer types fail before due to being one-dimensional. Still, it’s hard not to be excited about Thomas, who is coming off his own breakout season and is now starring on a roster that has almost no shot-making when he isn’t on the floor. Last season Thomas started out with three straight games of 30-plus points and was snapped up in every competitive league; he was unable to do much beyond score and hit 3-pointers, but Thomas was found money in a category that’s hard to supplement off the wire. With an unchecked role and plenty of scoring pop, hopes are high and he’s neck and neck with White despite finishing back of him last year with top-114/130 standing.
