How’d We Get Here?
The Suns had all the firepower in the world but never got on the same page last year as Bradley Beal’s early injury troubles prevented the group from getting valuable reps together, compounding the issues presented by playing without a true point guard. No team was as direct in addressing its roster issues as the Suns, even if they were able to score some deals by waiting out the first wave of free agency. You said the Suns needed a point guard? Well they got a new starter in Tyus Jones, a new backup in Monte Morris and two young players on two-way deals in TyTy Washington and Collin Gillespie. Time will tell if an offensive organizer alone is enough to get the Suns where they want to go, but the roster has at least one big question mark addressed.
