Everyone is looking for depth and it is easy to just go see who is on a hitting streak right now and just add those but wise managers need to look beyond those surface numbers. Just because someone has a 10-game hitting streak, does not mean they are not getting lucky with some of those hits. What we are looking for are players who are performing on the surface and back them up with those “under the hood” statcast numbers that help put those surface numbers into context.

Today, I have three hitters who are performing well as of late but also have good metrics that back up the performance. Oh, and they are available in way too many leagues.
