Marc Stein is reporting that Courtney Lee suffered a calf injury which required surgery during the shutdown.

No word on what the injury is exactly or when it occurred, but the Mavs will be hitting the waiver wire for some help as they gear up for a potential playoff run. Lee, whose season seems to be over with this news, finished the year averaging 14.1 minutes across 24 contests.
